adaptation pathways

The Dept. of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) act as land owners for the foreshore reserve. DEECA undertook an Adaptation Pathways Planning (APP) of the Caravan Park foreshore in 2024.

Following an initial community information session, the details of the APP findings are linked below.

The Caravan Park continues to experience the effects of coastal hazards, which at times restricts access and use in parts of the Park. Coastal hazards are expected to worsen over time and will affect the reserve more frequently in the coming years. This will potentially affect the Caravan Park’s viability depending on inundation frequency as well as environmental and safety risks that may present due to inundation events.
